Sam West

Pastor

Sam has served as pastor of Main Street Baptist Mission since 2010.  He loves to preach and enjoys just getting to know people.  In addition to preaching, Sam teaches for the Rapides Parish School Board.  His wife Donisha is a social worker at a local hospital.  In 2016, they welcomed their first daughter Ada to the family, and they welcomed their son Ezra in 2018. 


Interests and Favorites:

  • Places: New Orleans, Central America

  • Dream Trips: Egypt, I have a goal to visit all 50 states with my family

  • Books: I really like Phillip Yancey

  • Television Shows: Walker Texas Ranger, The A-Team, Sports

  • Sports Team: Who Dat!!

  • Hobbies: Spending time with Family, Traveling, Reading, Games

  • Life Scriptures: Reconciliation is really important to me, so I would have to say 2 Corinthians 5:11-21. I also love Isaiah 58.

Joshua & Allicia Bester

Associate Pastor
Youth and Children

Joshua and his wife Allicia began serving at Main Street Baptist in 2016.   Joshua is passionate about the gospel of Jesus Christ and finds great joy in seeing the church grow in an intimate relationship with Our Savior.  He loves to watch the body of Christ operate in harmony with their spiritual gifts.  In addition to his duties as Associate Pastor, he is a Case Manager.  He is married to his best friend Allicia.  Allicia serves as our children's minister, and wants to see every child who comes through Main Street fall in love with Jesus.

Mike Mayeux

Mercy Ministry Director

Mike Mayeux has served as the Mercy Ministry Director at Main Street Baptist Mission since 2016.  Mike coordinates all of the daily activities at the Mission.  He is in charge of coordinating volunteers, the meals, the food pantry, the clothes closet, and so much more.  Mike will tell you, though, that his most important job is sharing the love of Jesus Christ with everyone who comes in the door.  Mike is also pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church.  If you are interested in getting more involved in the ministry of the Mission, Mike is the guy to contact.
